Known to friends and family simply as ‘Bash’, Calabash Covington is one heck of a character.

His personal hobbies include polishing kitchen benches; chewing shoes and games-consoles; putting holes in his sister’s clothes; and sneaking around the back of Georgina’s grooming table and scaring the daylights out of ‘oodles and Shih Tzus just she was about to scissor something tricky.  But then he gives her a sloppy kiss, puppy-dawg eyes and a toothy grin and all is forgiven.

Simon is not so easily swayed.  Thus, Bash has a different solution should his ‘father’ catch him doing something naughty.  He freezes: motionless; no matter how awkward the position.  Because of course, no-one can see you climbing the bookshelves if you stay still, right?

Bash is a man of action.  That is, when he’s not lying upside down on the couch, sunning his balls beneath the livingroom skylight.  He adores playing fetch with Simon and his favourite AFL-style football, and Georgina has taken up cycling to satisfy his need for speed.

Thanks to him: all the fences have been increased to 180cm in height; the chickens went to live with a Golden Retriever; and did you know if you climb the ladder into Dan’s treehouse, you can jump off the far side into the horse paddock?

He gives the best smiles in the business: baring his enormous shiny white teeth right in your face is his way of saying “KISS ME!”.  He is anybody’s for a good back scratch, and wags his wiggly tail faster than any wakh we’ve met.
